Mission

The Women's Business Initiative (WBI) provides resources specifically designed for women-owned businesses creating added value to their relationships with Sterling Bank.

Formed in May 2001, the WBI offers free training seminars, networking opportunities, and luncheons for Sterling Bank customers and non-customers, all with the purpose of supporting the woman business owner. Our programs are managed by Sterling Bank employees, who are committed to the continued success of the WBI, in addition to their normal areas of responsibility within the Bank.

As a result of its commitment to the WBI, Sterling Bank was honored in 2003 by the Houston Business Journal and the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance as a Top Corporate Champion for women-owned businesses.
