The five C's of credit for qualifying for a SBA loan are:

1. Character - Evaluation of personal credit worthiness.

2. Capital - Borrower's ability to contribute required equity injection and to have secondary repayment sources.

3. Capacity - Borrower's experience and qualifications.

4. Condition - Business viability as related to present and future economic circumstances.

5. Collateral - SBA is a cash flow lender. Collateral will be required when available. In the absence of collateral, cash flow and debt service are the primary factors.
